Next Year’s Chopping Block

Unconfirmed reports are indicating that starting next season, Kentucky and Notre Dame will meet in what appears to be the begining of a neutral court series. Notre Dame will join Louisville, Indiana, and the Maui Invitational as the highlighted portion of UK’s non-conference schedule next year. The Notre Dame game will likely be played at Louisville’s Freedom Hall and could possibly be apart of the Big East/SEC Invitational (assuming Notre Dame is still apart of the Big East and hasn’t moved to join the Big 10). The running assumption is that this is a 4 year deal with Notre Dame and 2 games each will be played in Louisville and Indianapolis.

In recruiting news, Kentucky is still hot on the heels of power forward Kadeem Jack. North Carolina appears to be the main competition for Jack’s services. The UK Staff hopes to have Jack on campus this weekend and a decision could soon follow. There continues to be no new news on the Terrence Jones front. Both players have untill May 19th if they plan on signing a letter of intent.
